Oh, sorry, roverforever. Anyway, in to something more interesting. Where do you stand on NAMA?

Im not trying to smart or anything and i see there was a lot of figures in the last post. Simly put in 06 against Derry there was 5100 at the game when there was the terrace on the Shed End and the 2 sheds which i estimated would hold about 1500 people and full[maybe a wee bit more in retrospect]......At the moment there is nothing there but a gravel terrain which i reckon there was about 200 people on Friday night. So i think thats a shortfall of approx 1300 on 06. Granted there may have been a few more on Railway End but by maybe 1 or 2 hundred now do you see how there couldnt have possibly been more there the other nite or 6000 for that matter??
Comfortably 5,000 at the game I think. The whole place was jammed. Even the Ocean Fm commentator was standing in the aisle of the main stand. Standing room only. The place was overflowing. That's all that's missing from the league of Ireland: big crowds. Nothing wrong with the standard of football. The second half was a great advert for the league.
For the record, I had a look at the Derry 06 game on DVD. The shed and church hill terrace were open and full. The Railway end was packed similar to Friday night. Most of the Derry supporters in the Jinks Ave stand looked to be standing rather than sitting.
So I conclude, that there was a larger crowd in 06. The reported figure in 06 according to the DVD was.....wait for it.......5100, exactly the figure quoted in the Weekender......spooky eh!
That's because the Derry match was strictly a ticket only match and only 5100 were issued. I suspect the same number was printed for Friday's game.
I have to admit I thought the old Shed end terraces were knocked for the Derry match and if they were full then it is unlikely there is much of a difference between the two attendances.
So then, I heard somewhere Sligo Rovers told the FAI the official attendance was 3600?!?!?!
Are we going to get our fair share of the gate recipients? Which I do believe is, and correct me if I'm wrong, is split 3 ways??
Lads can we put an end to the attendance debate.
Rovers submitted an attendance sheet to the FAI stating an attendance of 3,600 (as per Fran Gavin and Noel Mooney feedback).
Anyone saying there was more than that at the game are
1. Accusing the club of lying.
2. Acussing the club of withholding monies from Waterford and the FAI.
3. Seem to forget Waterford are entitlesd to have a representative from their club at each turnstile cross checking numbers.
3600 seems reasonable -Main stand 1800 + 40 waterford fans standing less -40 freebies officals/press/fai, blue stand 800 less -100 due to rte ,shed end +100 , railway end 1000 = 3600
semi in 2006 also had the shed +500 and the churchill stand +1000 which would give the 5100 on the day of which 2000 were from Derry.
