I enjoyed that rant. Thoroughly.

Sorry.
These "spooky" occurrences drive me cracked anyway.
When sh!t like that is in a quiz and it costs me a perfect 10...
Feel better now though. Unless there's more today! :D
Not a rant, but FFS how could 4 of 10 literature questions be about Stephen King? And I wasn't the only one to get a pile of them by the look of it.
This, and the situation mentioned above, is what happens when you let the public get involved in anything! :p :D
Just as well I used to read his stuff. Missed a Dark Tower one (never read those), but got Cujo, Dreamcatcher and Needful Things. Oh, and missed the one Shakespeare one in the ten. :o
I got my shakespeare right but havent a clue on Stephen King as have never read any of his books and only have seen The Shawshank Redemption. Am too much of a softie for King!
Me too.
My parents made me read a pile of his books years ago.
Didn't work.
;)
I was getting worried when greeted with the first six red x's...
What important number do Percy Shelly and Sylvia someone or other have in common?
30. They both died age 30. Except for Percy, who was almost 30.
Like, wtf?!
Time for a bump
Just thinking - as it's a foot.ie forum quiz, any chance of a football/sport round one of the days?
World: UK is up in a bit. :D
Congratulations Stann.
Ta Hitman, good battle!
Well done Stann. A long way back to 3rd:o
Probably the strangest question yet:
10. All that frolicking in fountains and running around on mountains has taken its toll. Maria caught a cold, and it swiftly passed to the Captain and then through all the Von Trapp children. So, for the moment, the hills are alive with the sound of...?
Your Answer: Mucus
Father Dougal McGuire and Mrs Doyle served in which show?
'Father Ted'
'The Vicar of Dibley'
'Bless Me Father'
'Oh Brother'
:o, on a British channel alright but British, it was not.
Sorry Sligoman, it was made by Hat Trick, who do quite a few shows including Have I Got News For You, Room 101, and the new Armstrong & Miller - I think Rory McGrath is involved with them btw.
Also, pretty much all the inside scenes were filmed in England.
I think it can genuinely be claimed by both countries, as nobody can argue that it's not Irish, but yet when Linehan & Matthews went to the UK to get it made you could hardly argue that it's not British either.
As another btw, I think as well that that's a load of crap about RTE turning it down first.
First 10 I've got this month after a run of 5's and 6's and I'm only 3rd out of 5 :(
Also on the Father Ted thing, the quiz was about British culture, not British-made stuff necessarily. So I got a question on Star Trek because Star Trek is popular in Britain, not because it's British.
