What a cross from SI today. A Celtic Cross if you fabulous chaps will.
Ireland picked up a nasty injury at the weekend on the back of his leg after a tackle by Maynor Figueroa. Just to fore-warn, the link contains a fairly gory photograph of the cut: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...-Figueroa.html
So he won't be called up for Poland then?
Not sure it was not intentional, seemed a strange sort of kick.
Bruce thinks Ireland should have been sent off for a bad challenge on Meyler.
SI looks grand since coming on as the Stokers tie it up late.
Involved in both goals; natives are happy

yes he was showered with praise from Stuart Pearce on Radio 5 live.
But he was saying he needs to do it all the time.
Who needs Jack when you have Stephen?
There's a guy named Drinkswater on Leicester. Is he native american? According to google, he is not.
He got serious praise on MOTD too and looked brilliant in the highlights. It might be time for Roy Keane to live up to his word and camp outside Stephen's house until he plays for us :p
Here we go again
Baseless article really and factually incorrect with regards S.Ireland winning the penalty on Saturday, as it was Joselu.
Breaks leg. Out for "an extended period of time". Guess that rules him out of the Euros...

(PS - I found this thread by searching "granny" :) and it was still only on the 2nd page!)
Crosby must have sensed that big things were on the horizon for Danny Drinkwater. #BBC
I wish him no ill will.
I don't see what's funny about someone breaking their leg.
Guy is approaching 30 and in last year of his contract.
He already suffered from having no pre-season last season.
Deja-vu.
Who's laughing at him breaking his leg?
Anyone know which leg it is??
I saw one of them and it looked OK to me, must be the other one I guess.
The virtual (indignant) finger was pointed at Stu.
If one turns context on it's ears, cut a smiley from one part of Stu's post and paste it into another part, then we could make a solid case against Stu for laughing at the plight of SI.
I don't care enough about SI to feel anything atm, but I wouldn't rule out indulging in a bit of schadenfreude in the near future.
I guess Roy won't be pitching his tent outside Stephen's house now.
Let's be honest, there are a litany of things to laugh about when it comes to SI the man and SI the career curve. Breaking his leg is not one of them.
ROFLMAO
I suppose hearing that Ireland has broken a leg is about as relevant as finding out that Bertie Ahern has broken a leg. Sorry to hear it (with a smidgen of schadenfreude) but not remotely relevant to the Irish team.
I've never cared less when an Irish player has got injured. I wouldn't say I'm glad about it, just, meh.
Stephen is probably damning his luck that it didn't happen during the regular season, instead of when he was about to jet off on his summer holidays.
Presumably what happened to Fabrice Muamba was also a source of wisecracks.Quote:

alright, Stephen Ireland has broken a leg, which has ruled him out of football for the forseeable future. Moving on.
I think the person that equates a leg break with a career ending on-field heart attack during which the person was clinically dead for a number of minutes is the one who has the bigger issues here and absolutely zero grasp on reality.
The joke, my friend, is that SI had already ruled himself out of the Euros by his words and deeds. The leg break makes absolutely no difference. It wasn't "ahahahaha that d1ckhead cant play the euros now ahahahahaha".
You would think people would be a bit more sensitive all things considered.
I'm not going to say anything else. I'm sure the penny will drop for one or two eventually.
