Hey Bonnie, I just got a linkedin endorsement from someone who looks like you :)
Bonnie I read that you can get land for free somewhere outside of vancouver if you agree to build on it within 10 years.
Tony Barrett from the Times was saying that he was badly missed last night until he came on. He also said and has been saying for a fair while that he has been Everton's best player this season by a country mile. I wonder was he injured??
I think he was rested for the United match. Bad move by Martinez. Palace are a very tough team to play against. They could have done with James in midfield.
Yeah, heard a clip from Martinez this morning. He said that the other changes were just to freshen things up but that McCarthy was carrying a minor knock I think. I think it's pretty telling that he brought him on at 0-2 even though he's more of a defensive midfielder in his role for Everton, he obviously sees him as the guy that makes them tick.
Seems to be an ever growing favourite amongst the Everton supporters. I came across this on my facebook travels, one fans dedication...

Just scored for everton against hull
Brilliant, great for him to get off the mark for Everton and to have registered in the season.
Poor quality video of goal here, start 10 seconds in

Just on McCarthy, when Coleman won POTY for Everton, there was an incredible amount of comments from fans on their MBs and Facebook groups that McCarthy would have been an extremely close second. It wasn't just a couple of fans saying it either, almost every second post mentioned James. I think that, in a season where Coleman was an exceptional standout in the team, that speaks volumes.
Yes, footy forums are always right :)

McCarthy linked with Man Utd.
I wonder if McCarthy was English would those comments be so disparaging?

Interview with McCarthy. States he almost joined Spurs but they didn't come up with the cash (mind-boggling given what they spunked away on others). Interesting quotes regarding United's speculated interest. I'd give great heed to the fact that he laughed when saying "We will see what happens."
Good lad, James. One day?

Sounds like a potentially nasty injury for McCarthy after his shin was stood on. Hopefully it's nothing :(
edit: BBC were being hysterical then as it seems he's played on!
comparison of James McCarthy and Jack Wilshere ahead of the Everton - Arsenal game this weekend: http://www.squawka.com/news/jack-wil...ccarthy/162450
McCarthy "better than Wilshere"

It's great to see McCarthy getting the praise he deserves, but I don't understand all the comparisons to Wilshere around the Arsenal game. They're not really similar players at all. The Arsenal game tonight showed Wilshere's best qualities are around the penalty area, and the only reason he's been pushed back into the McCarthy role is because Ramsey is better than him. If they were both at Everton, they'd be playing alongside one another, not either/or.
The Indo article actually kind of picks up on it. McCarthy reads the game brilliantly, breaks it up and distributes the ball. Wilshere can't tackle for **** but he can create higher up the field, which isn't McCarthy's game to the same extent. I think McCarthy is better pound for pound, but they don't fulfil the same roles.
It could be a case that, as far as the English press are concerned, McCarthy's career trajectory is upward whilst Wilshere's is static or downward. The ol' hype machine cranked out a weight branded 'Expectation' which has sat heavily on the shoulders of Wilshere. On the other hand, whilst receiving plenty attention from other clubs and, to a lesser extent, the press, McCarthy has come from two unfashionable clubs in Wigan and Hamilton. He's at Everton now which accentuates that upward curve, even if potential is being fulfilled (exceeded?).
McCarthy is a cracking player. We're blessed to have him. A bit more aggression like Keane and Vidal would be lovely though.
I wonder does James enjoy a quick toke off a Marlboro light during the summer or a night out?!
Understated yet dynamic Irish midfielders do have priors in this regard!

The Indo article is from the English Independent
Irish captain when Keane and O'Shea retire? Does anybody else even come close?
Jack Grealish. He'll be 27 by the time Keane retires, and his captaincy of Walsall will have shown his leadership skills.
Learned some important facts about our James from this thread on the Scotland forum:
Presumably the "non SFA related" cicumstances refer to Martinez, who was a secret FAI double agent all along.Quote:
McCarthy vs brown is actually a close one. Both cracking players. He is a real loss to our side but brown at his best would keep him out a Scotland side. I used to rage at his decision to play for Ireland but I've subsequently learnt a few things about the circumstances behind it, non SFA related. I am certain he actually wanted to play for us. He won't be "fit" for the game at parkhead. Mark my words.
So he wanted to play for them, but didnt? That seems strange, but it would go with what was being said on here at the time.
I suspected you'd swallow that one hook, line and sinker.
No i was asking the question, as I cannot fathom in anyway how a player wanted to play for someone but chose someone else.
I realise you had your tongue firmly in cheek when posting that, but I just find it funny that someone would say "I am certain he actually wanted to play for us." - if he did then I'm sure he would have.
