I think whoever goes down with Shannon Town will both be early favourites among another 2/3 teams to get promoted from 1A next season.

I would agree with you almost fully, except I don't think Shannon Town would go back up again, not unless they really strengthen the team. I reckon Mungret or Kilmallock would definitely go straight back up, not too sure about Star though. There's 3 B teams in 1A next season which gives lots of teams a chance
Ha! Well hopefully 1A will be a bit more competitive next season. It's still way more competitive than the Premier though. Pike winning the league winning 20 out of 21 league matches, incredible achievement, but it doesn't say much about the league when Regional are 21 points behind in 3rd place...
star 2 kilmallock 2
mungret 0 view 2 ( last i heard with 10mins left)
mungret relagated.
well done to star they battled away and got there just award
pike 9 shannon 1 ,not sure if it was lawson,or league,or both.
well done to star and kilmallock for staying up, pity to see a club like mungret go down, what year did they get to the fai cup final ?, a lot of great players spent time at the club colm barrett top keeper, tom o connell. alan burke three Internationals, and i dont think they will find it easy to come straight back up.
Where was match on today
I would like to say well done to all the teams in the limerick premier league for the effort and patience this year. Congrats to Pike on winning the league, FAI and Touhy.
tough luck on the relegated teams and i must say well done for shannon for fullfilling their fixtures even when they were on a sinking ship.. i dont think that any team can say that shannon threw in the towel..
lets try and enjoy our summer break and it all starts again in august..
Very well put leather. With the FAI in Limerick for the second year running and possibly the O.T trophy also this season you all took part in the best junior league in Ireland.Congrats to the winners, survivors and of course hard luck to the relegated teams and yes in particular Shannon town who just got on with it without feeling sorry for themselves and gave no walkovers. With the great work that the club is doing at underage level it will be only a matter of time before they are back in the Premier league.
