Ya unreal weather for opening game of the season. Game was close to been abandoned field was grand in first half but cut up very bad in second half. Prospect were 2 nil up and cap came back to 2-2 and the equaliser was a screamer their midfielder scoring in his own half chipping the prospect keeper. Prospect took the lead again with a well worked goal, minutes later cap equalised again. And with 5 mins remaining Prospect got the winner Steven Kelly again with a predators goal. Must say it was a great game to watch and credit to both teams who played great football in such bad conditions.

good win for ye tonight abbey, what were hill like?we beat herbertstown 3-1,good game on a massive pitch, cut up a bit near the end,we went 1 up they pulled back to 1 all and we scored 2 in the last 10mins,bit of luck but proably just about deserved it for some of our good play

In fairness we won 4-0 and we could have scored 9 or 10 if we had taken our chances, Hill Celitc were poor tonight but I believe they were missing a few due to some funeral, so they may improve (and will have to or else they'll be fighting relegation)

Good start to the season by mungret even though they didn't really play that well. School-boy errors at the back costing them 2goals. Mungret should do well this season. Geraldines have a very young side, but can't see the dines being under the same pressure as they were at the end of last season.

the only reason hillceltic were short was because all there players they poached and offered holiday to were down the pub all saturday god help them come sundays
Bit of both to honest....one nil at half time and there was a bit of a wind(which there usually is) so we used it to our advantage....so much so that our keeper took a kick out and it bounced over the head of the croom goalie and straight in...i dont need to say how bad the conditions were cause we all played in them...but we did turn the screw toward the end and finish them off....i heard they were missing players but you can only beat what"s put in front of you....
Say Croom were missing a few cause the Gaelic Footballers were playing last Saturday night as well. Always good to meet the country teams early while the GAA in full flow.
