yeah def agree, thought the ref came across vey well, decent chap with a passion for the game, almost human like considering he is a fcuking ref!!!!
only saw the first half of the show, but myself, the brother and mother havent laughed in such a while as we did when we say that own-goal, bloody hilarious:)
starting now , Sean Connor going back to Sligo
Was the Cobh goal ruled out because the Cobh player was standing in the Drogheda half when the ball was kicked. Thats the only legit reason I can see for it.
All very impressive bar the strange fellow in the green top
Thought the show was good today apart from the constant change in camera angles in the Pats highlights, really annoyed me. everything else was good though.

Monday Night Soccer
3 weeks in, we discuss the pros and cons of the new highlights programme.
Studio One gripe with the studio is the positioning of the guests, especially the uncomfortable nature of Roddy Collins in week one. I understand it's a casual approach but maybe if Con was put on one side, guests on the other and a table over Roddy's thunder thighs, the studio would then be perfect
Guests A nice variety of guests so far and even more of a development tonight (week 3) with links to Waterford to discuss Ireland qualifying at under 17 level for the European championships
Highlights Without me sounding like a pedant, the repetitiveness of Either Way by The Twang is beginning to get annoying. If commentary was done live instead of like a report it would also be much better. It would also look much better if the cameras were facing the main stands. Drogheda and particularly at the Cross. Although I don't know how viable it is to do such a thing
Features. So far we've had a feature on Dave Mc Keon, which actually made some supporters think referees are normal people as well. The first week Tony O Donoghue went on "the longest trip in football" which was superb as it gave access to players and the dressing room.
Raiders of the archives, a great feature showing us moments of greatness and madness
60 sixty, it just doesn't cut it for me. While it's different, granted, it's bordering on cringe worthy.
Future developments? Some particularly good ideas have been bandied about. Two that struck me are following an ultra group around on match day as one of the features. Another which I read recently on a well-known discussion forum is that come mid-season and also at the end, fans should be brought into studio and discuss the league so far and have a live debate about the league so far etc.
Although I've outlined a few negatives, I think this programme is the most important source we have in developing the league. A prime-time slot on national television is just what we need to develop the league further and bring new people through the gate.
Long may it continue

that was the second legit goal in 3 game ruled out for us pretty poor refs, noting wrong with it, drogs player was in the circle but that doesnt matter, even if a player was in there half, i dont think it would affect play considering the goal was from the center circle, bad referre,
refs seem pretty poor so far, from mick devine not gettin sent off against rover to our two goals, and the two in the bohs sligo game shirt clashing plus numerous other incidents, the FAI would wanna reasses the people in charge of the refs, clubs will only tollerate so much amateurism
The Cobh player was in the Drogheda half so therefore the goal could not stand. Not a legit goal. The rules of the game state that all players must be in their own half from the kick off. So the ref was right. End of story.
I completely forgot about the show! Can't watch it online either as I haven't got real player!
Is there a replay of it this week?
good show again this week, even Roddy did well to notice Sammon said "Great" about 20 times in 10 seconds!
When does the show become available to watch online?
Normally the same night AFAIK. I got it at about 11;00pm the first week.
Just in case anyone didn't notice you can now watch part of the show you want online by picking whatever from the column on the left.
How do you watch it online?
It's online now...

The whole Connor going back to Sligo thing made me cringe. It was sort of like that episode of the Office when David Brent goes back with the dog after getting the boot. The current manager barely said hello to him on the way in as he was standing waiting for people to go in, the scene with Connor at the grave of Yeats just befuddled me, then the backslapping by Connor to Pat Fenlon & some of the players just made me go tsk tsk.
"14 or 15 players that I signed" also has its own joke but ill leave that for another day.......
Download Real Player Alternative it doesnt include the garbage that the proper real player does http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm
Was that Cook:confused: I saw somone brush past giving an awkward handshake where he seemed to jerk it away from Connor a little too eagerly. Then they show Connor looking a little lost, not sure what to do next :D
Great bit of TV from the LOI's answer to David Brent. He really didn't want Bohs to win though, did he? Only thing missing was a few reaction shots to show him cursing out the ref. Love these pieces and I love that they're not shying away from things like the Stephen Rice comments or ignoring that Connor, Roddy and Rico all left their last jobs in "interesting" circumstances.
I thought it was pretty good - I'm not sure if you sign a player twice it counts as 2 players! ;)
I wasn't sure about the first show but I think it's really good now. Even that Sixty thing isn't too bad - it's a bit of a laugh and shouldn't be taken as seriously as some people on here seem to think.
Was looking at the website last night too and it's v good.
Yeah, thought that was very good!
It'd be better if they left out the more obviously pointless questions - Batman or Superman? Who'd you like to kiss most on the team? Am I smart for coming up with these questions or do I sound like a muppet?
I actually found myself grinning at Purcell's reaction to the final two questions. Like I said after last weeks, it's the part that my girlfriend invariably looks up from her magazine at; if it means that the player she or anyone else watching sees on TV next time there's a match on is made more interesting or human for them, it's worth it.
"Who on the team would you most like to kiss?"
"No-one. Emmm? No, no-one"
Good alright. We just need more closet gays to answer the questions and we're flying. Next up - George O'Callaghan. :)
lads can any of you tell me the jist of what Sean Connor said? i was watching it in a pub and there was no sound (probably better off with no sound though :P)
