Still should be a win for India. :)

This over is hurting.
That one didn't work. 16 off four balls.
Yuvraj will be going home with the motm award in his bag.
That was a pretty creble performance. Another 35 runs on the board and if O'Brien had made that catch with 5 Indian wickets down it'd have been more interesting.
Another run out was costly. Porterfield and NO'B were going great guns. Only decent partnership unfortuantely.
Morning all. As others say, a credible effort against the Indians although we needed 250 to really test them.
Is Johnston injured, I see he bowled only five overs?
Porterfield and N O'Brien looked to be the best equipped partnership to add to the run total and both their dismissals were hard to take. It was a brilliant piece of fielding that led to O'Brien getting run out.
Hard to say what was the effect of Trent going off injured, but in the time he was in there bowling, India were hurt the most.
News reports say he is off to hospital for a scan on a knee injury.
Does the cliche apply, Ireland will take more out of that game than India?
Nope.
Maybe we will see the answer in the next matches.
Afair, we were hammered by both the WI and SA at the last WC. Both upcoming matches should give some idea of overall progress in the 4 years since and lessons learned during this tournament.
Should give the WIndies a close game, though all should be wise to our game plan and no-one will let us bat second now, given the choice. The Saffas, despite their struggles yesterday, are a class act and unless they've already qualified, wouldn't expect much there.
Got to hope the other teams, carry on taking points off each other. Starting with maybe Banglas beating Eng.& Wales.
Eoin Morgan drafted into the English team to replace Pieterson.
NZ have gone to town in the last 20 mins against Pakistan. They were doing next to nothing and then got 95 in 5 overs. mad suff. Unfortunately, it's hard to help thinking that Pakistan might be throwing it.
2 6s off the first two balls of the last over too. Caught on the boundary next ball.
Stuff this 20/20 mullarkey. One day cricket is great. Super WC so far.
"One day" cricket specifically refers to the 50-over game, which I assume was where Stutts was coming from.
Google's a bit contradictory on it actually, so you may well be right. I think - if incorrectly - the 50-over game is generally referred to "one-day", with the 20/20 called 20/20.
Anyways, I think that's what Stutts meant. We're allowed be a bit lax about our cricket terminaology here I think.
Are they not just both "Limited Overs"? :) 50 over games have gone over two days in the past due to weather delays, probably still could potentially depending on the competition. Having said that, One Day Internationals (ODI) is the standard terminology for the 50 over game at international level at least.
Meanwhile, back on the pitch, NZ are absolutely hammering Pakistan, who are now 70/6.
Ask anyone what they think an ODI is and they'll say it's a 50 over game. 20/20 is a specific format known as just that. Yes, if you want to be pedantic, they are both played in one day.
Who??
I actually have. Sorry.
Didn't Hansie Conje captain us about 10 years ago?
There are 5 types of cricket: 20/20 which is 20 overs a side, 40 over games (usually between club sides and what I play), 50 overs (international usually but also club sides) and is often called the one day game, 3 day matches (usually country sides in England but sometimes international teams vs county sides as a warm up and the test matches (international games) which are 5 days.
Vital game against WI coming up. Have to win to qualify as we are not going to get anything against South Africa. Debating whether to get up at 4.00 am to watch the start.
Both the next two games present the same challenge. They're good sides but can be great or crap depending which one of them turn up on the day. We were competitive against both in the last WC.
The Windies game should be much closer than SA, who're nearly a complete package.
And real international cricket is Tests, 50 overs(The longest established championship) & 20-20 which is a relative novelty by comparison.
Jesus Ireland, come on get the focus back
The chase is on against the WI total. They say that 270 is just about an impossible target to achieve on this pitch.
So far the Porterfield/Joyce partnership has not begun to wobble just yet.
More of a crawl than a chase by Ireland. The run rate clock isn't ticking just yet.
A couple of lovely shots by Joyce. And now O'Brien as well. This is more like it.
14 runs ahead of WI after 17 overs; very encouraging.
are there any decent streams? mine are all terrible.
Damn. Going to be very hard to win now.
We now have three Irish batsmen in! Great pub quiz queston.
This one is the best, comes over steady and clear.

Ireland are scoring better than England against Bangladesh.
Ahead of the West Indies score after 25 overs but they had some huge ones in the second half that will be hard to match. Might need Kevin O'Brien to produce some more magic.
my link went down so I switched to this one. http://crictime.com/server8.htm The run rate is going to be no problem. We just need to keep wickets in hand.
