It will be a cracking atmosphere - bound to be sold out - I wish we would allow some ppl behind the goals at the cross lanes.

Is there enough room or access to behind the goal? To leave the away section often required walking across the pitch, if there was enough space behind the goal surely that'd the route to the exit. It would certainly add to the United Park atmosphere and look on a match night if there was fans behind that goal, home or away.
Last time I was in United Park the way into the away section was by walking across behind the goal

Are all those fixtures confirmed/official now ? What's the asterisk after the Bonagee fixture for ?
Interesting to see Maynooth playing in Baldonnell. I thought Bonagee might go with another Sunday afternoon game. Would make travel easier for Shels fans if nothing else.
Yeah thats all official confirmation for the games....
Bonagee's ground has to be approved to hold the game....
Dont think Leckview has floodlights so the fact they fixed it for 8pm on a Friday would have me thinking that Finn Park would be likely ,Bonagee would be really dissapointed not to get it in Letterkenny though.....
Genuinely shocked Bonagee would go for Friday night.
Their Donegal League side are scheduled to play Sunday 28th in Dry Arch Park, so I can only assume that's why they've gone with Friday but would have assumed they'd prioritise the FAI Cup game.
They have perfectly adequate lights in Dry Arch Park, so floodlights aren't an issue in that regard. Their own ground is better equipped to host than Letterkenny Rovers too.
If they don't get approval Finn Park is their only other option really.
If expect the Rovers team for the game in drogheda will be mostly the reserve players, albeit they are players that would walk into most other teams.
Bradley has always stated one of the teams aims is to win the Cup, but that's a lot of plates to be spinning, in my view.
Rovers getting knocked out of the cup up there would not be a major shock.
Bradser saying Burke , Power and McCann not available for tonight's match in the EL but expects to have 2 available for Drogs.
I'm more confident about getting a result Sunday now that tonight's match is dead.
I dont see any potential upsets with the non league teams.
Best bet for an upset is probably Galway but with the way they have wobbled recently you'd have to make UCD favourites.
Confident as i am for Sunday the next most likely upset is Rovers i suppose given we lost up there recently, all the rest of the ties look pretty predictable.
The Cork and Galway performances will be an interesting insight into the strength or otherwise of the first division
Having a chat in the office, we mostly agree that qualifying for Europe is more important than trying to win the cup. Also agreed that we could easily finish fourth, if we don't start picking up more wins, but it's unlikely we'll be fifth.
To that end, should we want both Rovers/Dundalk to win this weekend, thereby increasing the chances of fourth place in the league getting Europe? Or do want Drogheda/Wexford to win, thereby making it, on paper, easier to win the cup?
The sensible option is probably for Rovers/Dundalk wins, but none of us actually want that. Interesting wee thought experiment. Same situation is in play for Dundalk fans too.
Looking forward to tomorrow night, and seeing what Cork are like, and if they're far off PD standard. They've been a bit inconsistent of late, but with the FD basically won, they may as well go for it against us.
Any word on when the draw for the next round is? Likely to be early next week I assume?
