That would be a huge statement of intent by Dundalk.

I'd agree a few more with good experience like G Brennan will compliment the younger players re-signed - fair play to the drogs for moving quickly to sign up their stars from last season - still a few more from that group that will hopefully be added over the next few days/weeks!
Gareth McCaffrey and Richie Purdy re-signed with Drogheda now too.
AFAIK the loan brought him to the end of his contract
Two good signings I understand they were both free to sign (Rovers contracts ran to end of season) so great bit of business for the Drogs, Purdy really came into it latter part of season - McCaffery (thought there be a few other clubs chasing him) scored some vital goals, P Mahon is putting a decent young side together as most of those re-signed average age comes in around 21-22 yrs of age! With the two Brennan's; S Thornton and possibly few more experienced lads staying in the premier div becoming more realistic.
His time with Rovers wasn't disastrous - he did better than many more celebrated players. He just chose to have a hissy fit when a better player came along and took his spot. He's a good player though and he'll do well at Drogs provided they don't have let any 17 year olds near the team.
On local radio this morning it was said we have made some audacious moves for top players and have a big budget this season. One player being the top striker in the country at the moment. Make of that what you will.
Limerick have made Fagan an offer (as have Rovers, Dundalk, Cork, Bray and Pats)
Looks like it's a guff off season from us then.
All bluster and nonsense and end up with Dave scully and ucds third choice centre half.
Fagan my arse.
Mark Timlin is coming back to Derry, according to the Mirror. He'd be a great signing for us.
He was always excellent for Derry last year. Had some excellent showings for st pats but also a few mediocre ones when I felt he was played out of position as a striker. In fairness, pats centre midfield going missing for the whole season probably didn't help him.
Hope he does well back at Derry. i always enjoyed watchin him - he was surprisingly brave and aggressive for a skillful attacker.
