The posts about loyalty are a million percent true. There is none and this will continue while clubs fan the egos of these average players! Stories say seven at Kklumney training on Thursday and Coachford cancelled. Decent clubs but will remain cyclical if they keep taking players with no link to them. It's the ego of a clubman or manager that stirs it too - just remember, if a players sells a club out to join you, chances are he will sell you out in time too. Park are the biggest club in the AUL - they will have good and bad seasons but not boom and bust.

[QUOTE=1fortheTeam;1770096]haha! I totally agree. Players come and go so it's the club that needs to be made stronger. We sold our soul to mediocrity when we found ourselves in a Premier A. We got what we deserved - zero loyalty. We decided long before last season ended that we would not chase anybody this summer and we haven't . One player has been asked a few times and even that was for the right reasons. Rockmount are struggling, chances are Avondale might in a few years. Why? Because they took short term views on players who showed no loyalty or have no connection. Just my opinion but wouldn't money spent underage be more beneficial to clubs longer term than paying today's superstar "expenses" to have one good season?? Kilumney players gone "home" - city players gone from Coachford back to city - Midleton players gone back to the Great Island. It takes a brave club to not look short term and I couldn't say my club would turn down short term glory in the future... ........the proof is there though that it damages the club long term!!
Are you on the look out for a new job 1for or are you gonna take a break from football for the time being??
[QUOTE=Sparks;1770144] Took the decision to give our youth team from last year a go at under 19 football. Some of them are a bit young too take on jnr football. A fall back to the reallignment of under age football by Fai 2 years ago. Back in jnr football next year. Please God. Nothing sinister in it.
