Trap's comment is interesting; why would there be any reason to speak to Woy about Pilkington? Of course, the thing is, Pilkington won't be tied to us even if he does feature against Poland and would still be within his rights to switch to the FA were they to later declare a serious interest.
Can't see why 'Ingerland' would want him anyway. He's good but not high-profile enough for their media/pundits/fans.
Is that usual for players with dual eligibility? If there's some unwritten duty to professional courtesy, shouldn't Hodgson - if he ever happened to be interested in selecting Pilkington - be the one contacting the FAI seeing as Pilkington has actually played with us in the past?
I, for one, was sh!tting it when I saw Steve Bull warming up to come on against us in Cagliari.
I think Pilk could be the next Ger Crossley. The Germans must be quaking.
I'm delighted that Pilkington is likely to be playing with us. He looks a very good player. It seems like he has decided that he can be a top player with us, have a good chance of appearing in a few tournaments and win 50+ caps, rather than take his chance with England. I'm sure he feels more English, but some of our greats probably dreamt of putting on the three lions growing up and yet became more Irish than the Irish themselves.
I'm really excited by the performances of alot of the Irish players in the premiership and indeed the championship in recent weeks. Coleman, Gibson, McCarthy, Clark, Hoolahan, Long and Pilkington have all been good. Meyler and Brady seem to be playing very well with Hull. Hendrick and Hoban are two of the best young talents in the Championship, and Mark O'Brien is hopefully back to good health, while the great white hope Owen Garvan is doing the business for Palace. It's nice to see Cunningham back from injury as well. We don't have a Messi or Ronaldo in that batch, but i'm confident, we have the makings of a good side over the coming years.
Goal for "Pilks" to put Norwich within a goal in the free-scoring game against Man City. He's proving adept at scoring against good teams.
From BBC: "This afternoon just keeps giving. Anthony Pilkington strikes a free-kick from 22 yards and it finds the goal courtesy of a deflection off Gael Clichy. Game back on."
Pilkington's goal is at 0:20: http://videa.hu/videok/sport/norwich...6TMS87F7o4mCfi
I think Pilky may have had a chance for an equaliser last kick of the game,
woudl have needed a great shot though, and it wasn't.

Looks pretty happy with his decision.
And very sexy to boot.

He's got his passport sorted anyway:

Alright, I'll pick up the slack seeing as Crosby has apparently missed a trick..
He looks like Sean Bean.
