St. Petersburg isn't actually the answer I was looking for but since the question might predate the fact they won the Uefa last year I took out my atlas to check and it has now superceeded the original answer- Gothenburg. Seville is also right.

Prior to 2006 Benfica had held the honour.

Funnily enough, I presume Benfica are also the most westerly club the win a European trophy, unless Galway have one knocking about somewhere? And St. Petersburg are also the most easterly. Funny that.

I've won the European SuperCup, The European Cup/Chamoions League, the UEFA Cup,the English Premiership and the FA Cup.. I've also been relegated from English Premier League, yet never played in Championship. I'm still playing today
