What>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I'd be delighted if this was true. Great player
just heard it on 96fm sports about cities 2 new signings. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooo
true football wise i will be gutted but end of the day if i was working for a lada dealership and got offered a job with ferrari i wouldnt think twice
Cant say it was unexpected lads..at least we can go to see him every other week..hope it works out for him..How the F**K are we going to replace him..
dont really think we can he was other real out ball when times got tough
dont think kearney will replace him
must say lads i am really really frustated we are always going to be a small club never seem to be on even keel with others , biggest problem is we think small whereas others like harps etc think big and plan big:mad:
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh:o
I actually feel genuinely sorry for Ramblers, I was hoping you'd hold onto him. But I've seen him and I know how good he is. Sorry to say it, but Ramblers' loss is our gain.
Has this been confirmed?
on radio but not confirmed by club
He will be a great addition for ye lads.. he`s a top player...our loss bigtime..
city's 2 new signings today are O'Callaghan and Mulcahy, confirmed on city website, no mention of davin at all
was on 96 fm i heard it and my old fella rang from car to tell me as well
Just had Red FM on there and they listed George O'Callaghan, Dave Mooney, Pat Sullivan and Dave Mulcahy as signings and Danny Murph as a potential one. Absolutely nothing about Davin and Red FM would be the station to believe as they are the OFFICIAL STATION OF CORK CITY FC.
This rumour came from 96FM. They are all rumours. I mean come on they offer the latest scores from premiership matches at 5.15 on a Saturday. They are worse than Aertel. I refuse to believe this until I hear it from Davin or from RedFM.
rams 14 let it all out you are among friends we feel your pain:)
Nothing on 96 FM anymore
Tbh Id be surprised if a deal had been done. Mathews priority has been getting the players on board that we have to sign by tonight. We could sign Dav any time in the next month.
Maybe we're talking to him?
:Djust seen davin down town in sports shop getting a new pair of boots if u hurry u might stil be able to catch him rams14:D
dodgy territory buddy he is emotional tonight:D:D:D
Emotional times in Cobh....................sport is next
Nothing on 96 or Red FM about this lads. If this were fact Ramblers would have released a statement. I get the Official Cork City press releases sent to me for something else and no mention of this at all. For footballing reasons I really hope he doesn't go. Who we gonna call 'Hitman' if he goes.
Just spoke to one of the players 5 min ago and he told me he was talkin to Dav earlier and is collecting him for training soon...TRAINING WITH RAMBLERS!
So hopefully its not thru...:)
Lads, have it from rock solid source, Davin aint goin to City, if it was on 96fm then ring and complain, whatever about s**t stirring amongst ourselves were fair game as we choose to be on here but Davin is a young lad with a young family living in the town and he doesnt need this s**t going on.
I suggest that this thread be closed, straight away
I'm gonna complain. All at once now RED FM, RED FM, RED FM:D
Below is my complaint:
To: news@96fm.ie
To whom it may concern,
Why was it falsely announced on the evening news that Davin O'Neill had left Cobh Ramblers to sign for Cork City? This was not annouced by either Cork City or Cobh Ramblers. This story is untrue and unneccessary. It has caused a lot of panic amongst fans especially a few with weak hearts.
Please don't sh*t stir it's bad for your stations reputation.
Thank You.
George O'Callaghan and Dave Mulcahy are the two players. They just announced it on 96fm there.
END OF THREAD
happy days if it is true, heard it with my own ears, sorry if it is false and i caused panic:)
You're not the only one who heard it, anyway I hope that's put to bed now.
In a way I'm happy, I know how it feels to have your club 'raped' of its best players.
your complaining to a company marco has worked hard to try get sponsorship to us. They obviously heard it somewhere like. Davin trained with ramblers tonight, fact. End of. Wheres that bloody mod we wanted so we can close this thread!:D:D:D
Lighten up Bella. To be perfectly honest with you R14 is spot on and it's his prerogative to complain if he feels there is just cause to, and in this case there is.
It's the responsibility of any Media organisation to clarify any source of information to justify publication/broadcast of any article/report of this nature. If 96FM went ahead and broadcast information of that nature without confirmation from the Club then they are held accountable for any distress caused to any individual and believe me it can. I nearly fell off my seat when I read it. I had Davin's Player Sponsorship covered in all but paying for it so I wasn't too pleased. I also spent time waiting and listening to the Sports news on hours 7 and 8 last night. I made upteen phone calls(two of them to contacts in the Media) to see if anyone could substanciate the alledged broadcast and no-one could. So yes, it does cause distress in certain quarters.
Regardless of whether or not Marco is working hard to get sponsorship from said business, it still doesn't justify publication of an unsubstanciated article and 96 will tell you this themselves. It knocks me how it was heard at 6 and not any time thereafter. Is it that someone within the club heard it at 6 and made the call to 96? Personally, I'd hold 96 accountable and not the person who gave them the information.
So to recap..........R14 is perfectly right.
