Obviously Muff is one but that's an old one really. On my way to Waterford the other day we passed through a place called "Granny" and I also saw a sign for "Kilmacow":D

Ballydehob in Cork
Ballyhooly, Co Cork, has to be a party town!:)
Stillorgan. Maybe they should consider twinning with Big Bone Kentucky.
It's claim to fame is Big Bone Lick State Park, which includes the communities of Beaver Lick and Rabbit Hash!

I've always liked the tiny town of Inch
Tubbercurry in Sligo has amused some people I think.
a few towns in Saskatchewan that make me laugh
Kandahar, Seamen, Elbow and Climax.
In fact i think Canada is a haven for funny place names. Also in this province are Moose Jaw and Uranium City.
Moone (Co. Kildare)
Many a drunken Thursday night going into the 4 Lights asking for a
Big 4 Special and a large Tubbercurry.

the Tubber side of Curry, or the Curry side of Tubber
I always though Stoneybatter and Stepaside were funny enough.
Effin in Limerick. I was at a wedding in Adare a few months ago and
the mass was said by an Effin priest!
Place outside Melbourne called PooWong which made me giggle.
My home village Killashee isnt funny. Until some wag adds a 'P' at the end.
Cockfosters in London i always find funny when said on the tube.
Stoneybatter when said in a knacker Dub accent is always fun too.
Ballsbridge and Killala are great for amusement too.

Is it true that Stoneybatter, with its amount of pubs, gave rise to the phrase 'on the batter'; or just an urban myth?

W@nk and Hell are in Germany.
List of funny place names on Wikipedia - includes Kilkenny! Some of them - in paricular Anus Muncher, Ontario - appear to be puerile insertions though.
Kill Lane and Kill Avenue are roads very near me - never found them funny until someone pointed it out recently. There's also Kill Of The Grange - smoeone painted over the sign with reflective paint one time, so that at night, when your headlights shone, it read "Kill The Gran".
Slightly off topic, but the post box in Dean's Grange was once edited so "Dublin Only" and "All Other Places" became "In Only" and "All Her Places". Childish, I know, but still got a laugh out of it!
Don't know if killkenny counts but i know american touristy southpark fan type people think it hilarious:rolleyes:
Gay Head (Marthas Vineyard).
Bald Knob (NY State)
Londonderry (Chile)
Kilcock must have the tourists pi$$ing themselves.
Also, when giving directions to Terryland Park, you got to be careful. Afterall, it is near the Blackbox Theatre on the Dyke Road.
Locals might say "ya go up the Dyke past the Blackbox..."
Ahh the black box I had to a classics exam in there and it was bloody roasting cos it was June. Also isn't the black box where the local knacker population meet to 'show off' there souped up s**t box cars!
Remember seeing a place called Crazy Corner on a road map of Ireland I think it was in West Meath!
