Ill refer you to this thread!

But i'd say itll be a month maybe before we see any definite arrivals
training starts on january 20th, i'd be shocked if rob hasn't signed 3 players by then and i'd say we'll have at least 1 or 2 by the end of this week
Apparently we signed some foreign lad,was spotted at the showgrounds today, should hear about him and other names in the next few days
Supposed to be three lads on their way from Newcastle plus another two from Holland are already here and staying in the Radisson.
i'd be looking more along the lines of 11 or 12 myself- how they we would afford this i'll never know!!!!
11-12 is a whole new team!
if this is a team we could put out tommorow
brush
peers
coleman
mckenzie
foy
faz
hughes
curran
raf
turner
choice
its not a bad team really but it would need maybe 5-6 players to strengthen it and 2-3 extra squad members
IMO if we are wanting to get into the top 4 we need about 22 or so players.....two people for every position! as in 2 right and left backs.....4 centtre backs....4 wingers....4 centre mids and 4 strikers and 2 keepers
Thats an excellent display of your mathematic capabilities there Feo! :D
why thank you.....im an A student
With two prospective recruits arriving to sample a taste of Sligo Rovers and training due to start tomorrow (Jan 20), Rovers new boss Rob McDonald, has plenty to keep him occupied but he is looking forward to getting into gear for 2007.
“We start training tomorrow and I’m very much looking forward to getting started. We meet for introductions at 11am and then at 1pm we will have our first training session.
“Two players have arrived in Sligo and once they clear their medical, I’m expecting that they will sign. I’m still in talks with a number of players to add to the squad, and as soon as we have some firm information, I’ll be letting the fans know.
“One familiar face who will be here is John O’Hara. Unfortunately, John is home from America following the death of his father, and he is asked to train with us so that he keeps sharp prior to his return to the US in a couple of weeks,” the manager explained.
Rovers first friendly is on 19 February against Athlone Town

Yeah but i doubt he'll be fit for the start of the season
When he comes back it will be like a new signing!!!
yeah.....good player IMO
Rovers are supposed to have two players on Trial at the moment afik a 19 year old keeper & big midfielder, 4 new singings are supposed to be arriving today. Don’t know how reliable this is, apparently came from one of the players.
Slipped up big time ! Heffernan joins Athlone Town..
http://www.athlonetownfc.com/
Colm Heffernan becomes Michael O'Connor's sixth close season signing, joining from his hometown club, Limerick FC.
An out-and-out winger, Heffernan has played with Limerick and Sligo Rovers, and also spent a season in the Premier Division with Waterford United in
2005..
Speaking about his latest signing, Michael O'Connor told athlonetownfc.com, "I've been after Colm Heffernan since the very start. He is a Premier Division player that can play on the right side, or his preferred side on the left wing. He could have gone to two Premier Division club, but he's come here. I'm delighted to have him.
Dont know what games you were watching GloryNights as he always looked quite a promising talent to me
Is that a joke gus?he was ok,but had about as much intusiasm as a duck sleeping
Alverez didn't stand out in the first division, hardly gonna make waves in the premier...
the only goal i remeber him scoring was when he got a hard time in the weekender about his lack of ability and when he did finaly score, he stuffed two footballs up his top, ran over to the side line and started pointing to Robbie Cullen in the press box...
Ok well i am very much in the minority but i always thought he displayed potential at least.
he had potentialy the best tan on the team....
He got a least another one in the Showgrounds against Cobh, a last minute winner. He reminds me of a headless chicken without the pace and guile.
I may be wrong but didn't we win every game that alvarez scored in?
Bringing back Alvarez would be a step in the wrong direction...unless he seriously improved since the last time he was here. Sound guy, but useless footballer
where is he now? he was up north wasnt he?
Glenavon get three-point penalty
Glenavon have been plunged into relegation trouble after having three points deducted for failing to get a work permit for a player from Bolivia.
It means the Lurgan club, only promoted last May, fall below Larne and are only a point ahead of Institute who occupy the one-from-bottom play-off place.
Glenavon played Carlos Alvarez, on loan from Sligo Rovers, in the 3-0 win over Ards in January.
Bottom club Ards have now been awarded the points from that fixture.
It was the only match Alvarez played for Jimmy Brown's team.
Glenavon did make sure they had international clearance to play Alvarez but did not seek a work permit.

Rovers to announce two new signings tomorrow, one Australian keeper and a midfielder, according to The Star. Anybody know anything about these two?
Yeah, Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath.
Shane Warne is retired.
could give him a position of comercial manager to help temp him...
