Not many you've missed. Can't remember the Finnish game. What happened there ?
Was Finland the away friendly after the WC in 2002?Quote:

You were definitely on the beer that day or else were watching a different game. Game was played in August 2002, Ireland won 3-0, goals by Robbie Keane, Colin Healy and Graham Barrett!Quote:

The Greece game was the first after our home defeat to Switzerland after which McCarthy resigned and the last game we played before Kerr took over in February 2003.Quote:

Didnt Crowe start in that game??Quote:

The strange thing about the game was the Greek crowd had no interest in the game as they were playing a big basketball match at the same time and the locals were more interested in that. It was only two or three euro to get into the game (the FAI didnt sell any tickets for this game). Less than two years later, Greece were European champions - funnly ol' game!
Just Portugal (95), Switzerland (03) and France (04) for me... :( Missed Malta in 1999 (? - the 3-2 win - is it that long ago?!) because of exams - was going to skip them and fly out, but I thought that might be taking it a bit too far! Still failed, of course!
Still, getting into the away games habit now - will be crossing off the Faroes in June...confidently expect to be at a major finals any decade now! :)
we beat England ?Quote:

Sounds a bit big headed I know, but for me it's easier to list the countries (within Europe) I haven't seen Ireland play in, being a bit of an old c*nt. :o
Greece, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, San Marino, Slovenia, Bosnia, none of the new former Soviet republics (Baltic States excepted) although saw Ireland in the old Soviet Union. Faroes I'm going to in June and Andorra saw against in Barcelona.
Looks more when you list them down Sylvo huh ? :) :)

No..I went to Albania for the June 07th game but I had to come back as my Sister got married June the 10th..Got the beer in either way but much more expensive.
I actually went home about an hour after the match as i was driving , did not seem to be much going on.

Yeah, the away game was on 2 April and the Georgia away game was on 29 March! Must have been some pre-wedding bash!  !Quote:

No brave hearts gone to Bulgaria then ?
Impossible missions (in Europe) - we've never played them away: Czech Republic, Slovakia (although we did play in Czechoslovakia), Slovenia, Bosnia H, Ukraine, Azerbyjan, Armenia, Sweden (?), Kazakhstan, Faroes (soon), Belarus, Moldova and San Marino - any more ?
Sweden is interesting. I cannot recall us ever playing there. Anyone know any better ?
I think we drew 0-0 in Norway in a warm up a few days before Euro 88.Quote:
