If you ever needed a game to bounce back from, after an opening night to forget, then Rovers is the perfect tonic. Form, means nothing in these games.
Couldn't agree more !! Heard ticket sales going very well , how many you reckon coming over from the daRk side ??
Are there no First Division games this week?
Typical Lims fan
UCD v Shelbourne FC 7:45pm
Waterford v Cabiteely FC 7:45PM
Wexford v Athlone Town 8pm
Saturday
Longford Town v Cobh Rams 7:30pm
There should be a seperate first division forum tbh.
Ooh Longford United drew with Thurles Town. Who cares really??
I should have known you'd know :D
Heading to Hunky Dorys with a few other lads to check out the new look Drogs and Pats sides tonight.
The only upside to not having a Dundalk game on a Friday.
There is a game on telly but I couldn't stomach watching Rovers two weeks in a row. ;)
Pitch inspection in Turners Cross at 1pm
Absolutely bucketing down here in Cork this morning. My street was practically flooded. Looks like its eased off, and games are rarely called off in TX, though conditions may not be great.
It's very bad down here alright. Stopped for a bit there, but lashing here again where I am. As far I remember, the last time a game was called off was in 2009, a setanta cup game against Sligo, very similar weather that day
The Turners Cross pitch looked very soft during the presidents cup game a couple of weeks ago. Parts of it cut up quite badly. Summer football eh.
Derry v Limerick sold out of tickets for home fans.
Official capacity is 1574 this season.
I've never dreaded heading out to Tallaght as much as I am tonight.
No BBC Foyle commentary tonight because of the election but you'll get coverage on Drive FM

Be unfortunate if some games called off that are expecting big crowds. You want to build off the decent start to the season in terms of media exposure & having big games, keeps the momentum going.
I know it's a bit early but can any Sligo folk offer an opinion if the weather might affect tomorrow's game?
Turners cross was deemed unplayable by a local MLS ref at 13.00. Cork city are disputing the ref's decision & have called for a 2nd opinion so hence the 4pm inspection. Its is a joke if game is called off at 4pm because fans will have left Galway before 4pm.
A decision should have been made at 1pm as either the pitch is playable or its not end of story.
