City's third choice keeper, Stuart Taylor (formerly of Aston Villa and Arsenal), is leaving after his contract expired, so Ian could be promoted to the senior squad
Read that as Liam Lawlor for a second and had to look twice.

That's a ringing endorsement right there. I've my fingers crossed for this lad, especially given the age profile and questionable (?) quality of our current options.
One of those of "questionable quality" turned down an offer to sign for Man City to play regular football. I speak of Westwood of course whose decision to play Championship football must have helped push Lawlor up the pecking order.Quote:

Seems to be going well for him so far as Barnet lead 2-0 at half time. Yeovil have only had two shots on target according to the BBC stats so he obviously hasn't been overly busy. NAC play in the Dutch Jupiler League. I think they are still playing for promotion to the Ere Divisie.

Another victory for Lawlor's Doncaster Rovers today - 10 points clear of Carlisle in third, 13 clear of Portsmouth in fourth, so barring a significant loss of form it looks like he will get promoted. If that happens, then the drop to League Two will start to look like a prudent career move.
