The best value season ticket in the league (that I know of). Same price all year round.
But with the season ticket price, realistically you're only saving about 20 euro on tickets if you get 15 home games. Point being that's not a great deal.
Ya. Could be wrong but isint there a chance you could play 17 home games. On the early bird that means you could possiblly get 3 and half games for free and save 55 euro. Fair price imo. Being entertained is a huge part of going to football matches and is definetly a factor when buying season tickets?
My mistake yes, 16 or 17 home games I believe. Still, not sure about it.
Any first division clubs have early bird prices or is it too risky considering we don't really know how many teams will be in it for definite
Limerick had them last year and had to give out 20 quid vouchers when it was reduced to 11 teams
It is for you. And thats superb.
However for too long clubs have sought money from fans purely on a "well if want a club, you'll have to pay for it" basis.
In the long run, clubs offering value for money to supporters is a good thign. it might mean €50 less per season ticket, but if they sell more, and people feel like they're getting value/savings, then it'll come back to the club in one way or another
This is what I'm getting at.
No problem with Sligo doing this of course, but in the long run, cheaper season tickets are the way to go. And considering Sligos are only early bird prices, I'd hate to think what the full price would be. Early bird price of 150 would have been much more sufficient.
Not trying to be an ass about it, I just think it's asking too much of the fans when money is tight for everyone at the minute.
But I'd argue that 200 for a season ticket is vakue for money. The gate price for 18 home games is €270 so thats a pretty big saving.
Whether the non 'early bird' price is value or not remains to be seen.
The full priced tickets won't be much different. maybe €240,50.
But you're not going to get 18 home league games. Probably 16 or 17. At 17 games that 255. 16 games 240.
Saving 40 euro on Early bird tickets...just not that much for me.
Meh, it all goes towards Cookie's fag factory in Tallaght so i don't really mind.
Sigh. IN fairness, despite reading it twice above, I still forgot about the league changing
Grrrrr.....
I take back everything, Sligo are the biggest rip off merchants since the last boggest rip off mrchants
you still save €40
What's season ticket for Harps? Too, easy to state you probably couldn't give them away in Ballybofey.
Seriously, you have some neck. Coming from a club, that begs all and sundry to keep afloat, gets freebie dollars to undertake 'Field of Dreams' stuff and whinging at others setting a price structure to suit the club's needs.
It's called consumer choice, the vagaries of capitalism -- what the market will bear, and that many are happy to invest in their club.
The players are professional, hence they must be paid.
If we could get a few million off FAI to build a pavillon/stand then the club wouldn't need to raise money - if the club wanted to sell off its grounds to support crazy Quixotic plans, then they could give away season tickets free.
Otherwise, pay your money and take your chances!
edit: point already made
They were €99 last season. Sold around 150. Not great but meh, considering the sh!te we've been watching it's pretty decent.

Ah, so use stadium money to pay players? I get ya now.
With some taking greater chances than others.
Jesus, Sligo fans are defensive about their prices...
Dont think were defensive, just trying to say that were happy to pay the prices and that we believe them to be fair.
How many season tickets do Sligo hope to sell?
1 million
