Rovers again look the value to me this week
The "value" for this round was/is the Mervue-Kildare game. William Hill's pricing was all wrong here but I see from your link that they are beginning to correct this.
Ye they had Merve at 3/10 and Kildare around 8/1 or so,Kildare were worth a bet at theat price but Hills copped on and have changed the prices
I got Kildare at 11/2 on Sunday evening. I still think they may be slight value at 7/2 to be honest.
Done Galway, Kildare wins with UCD - Shels and Waterford - Harps draws.
€5 on that returns €764.40 on Boylesports.com
Harps at 13/2 is very tempting tbh with our current form.
The other Rovers at 1.87 with Betfair is probably going to be my bet this week.
Rovers are on a great run, unbeaten in 2 months. Everything about the club is rosy at the moment, and with Gary Twigg talking about a new deal, they should have too much for Bray. The home side just haven't been able to get any results recently, and will be reeling from the decision of star man Paddy Kavanagh to leave for Rovers. I'm not sure of the details but it looks like he's leaving. Rovers are very much dark horses right now, and I'd expect them to be a bit more visible after Friday.
Backing Shamrock Rovers to win (Betfair) @ 1.88 - 3 pts
Keeping it simple this week. 5 on a Bohs/Pats double (returns about 18) and 5 on Longford draw no bet at 11/10. Both with Paddy Power.
Mervue now above EVENS on betfair. Is this to be the week that Kildare end their losing run?!
Bray vs Rovers@1.89- 2pts
Dundalk vs Bohs@1.98- 2pts
UCD vs Shels@2.72- 2pts
Mervue vs Kildare@4.2- 1pt
Athlone@2.26 vs Longford- 1pt
Sligo@4.3 tonight vs Vllaznia. Sligo were well on top last week but failed to convert. Rumours going around also that Vllaznia were trying to throw the game.
UCD -v- Shelbourne
First against Second here in the First Division. Shels are currently in the driving seat with a point advantage and a game in hand. This should be a tight nervy affair with neither side giving too much away, both sides would be content with the draw. In the last meeting between the sides the Students ran out 3-1 victors in a game where Shels were not at the races. I can't see so many goals this time around and unders looks very good to me. Below are the results of games between Shels & UCD against their fellow promotion challengers to date. There's not alot of results to go by but we'll give a low scoring game a shot. I was expecting to see unders @ 1.67 or thereabouts, 1.79 on Betfair looks very generous to me in what should be a cautious game.
Sporting Fingal 0 - 1 U.C.D
Shelbourne 1 - 3 U.C.D
U.C.D 0 - 0 Waterford United
U.C.D 0 - 1 Sporting Fingal
Waterford United 0 - 1 Shelbourne
Shelbourne 1 - 3 U.C.D
Sporting Fingal 1 - 0 Shelbourne
Shelbourne 1 - 0 Waterford United
Backing under 2.5 goals @ 1.79 (Betfair) - 2.5 pts
Derry have a lot of injuries, the 9.8 on Drogheda on Betfair looks tempting...
Hi there all. I am new to loi but i do specialise in total corner bets. Does anyone know of a good website that has the number of corners for loi for each match played? I have looked high and low with no success. You guys may be able to suggest something? I would like to get up and running for the next round of matches if possible. Thanks for any advice.
Sporting index do as do fixed firms like bet365 and paddypower. Thanks any way. X
As well as my unders bet on the Shels game I'm going to have a small bet on Wexford Youths away to Limerick. Limerick have a decent record against them but Wexford are the better side and @ anything above 3.4 they are worth a bet imo. Backed Wexford @ average odds of 3.8 on Betfair - 1.5 pts.
UCD-Shels looks a nailed-on draw to me. Sorely tempted to back Kildare @5/2 against Mervue. Mervue have conceded 17 in last four, Kildare 7.
I wouldnt back Kildare now at 5/2 considering they were 7/2 9/2 and 7/1 before now
Did anyone go for Drogheda after all?
God damn UCD. I put on a mad bet of €5 in the hope that 4 results go my way and look where it gets me. Surely it wasn't too much to ask for.
Kildare and Galway both come up for me then the damn students.......
I should have just gone with the Galway/Kildare double that I had intended in the first place. :(
Bloody Pats. The most unpredictable team in the division surely. Beat Cork away and lose to Galway at home in the space of a few days. Shamrock Rovers appear to be the most consistent at the moment though no doubt should I ever back them that will change!. Could do with them losing to Newcastle tomorrow, shouldn't be too much of an ask given they're playing the reserves.
So am I the only one happy tonight then?:)
Got on Kildare and Rovers thanks in part to this thread, so no, not really. Though would have been nice to get Kildare at higher than 5/2. And I was tempted by Galway beating Pat's, but purely because they'd won the previous two times too. Didn't see them actually doing it.
(Although after watching that excuse of a football team kick us about for 90 minutes, I'm not sure if I can really be counted as happy tonight!)
Are Cork backable @ 11/10 this evening?
It's a very hard one to predict tbh. personally I can see it being a draw. Obviously after the european trip the lads will be tired but on the plus side we will have two strikers in our squad for this game, which has been our biggest problem this season. Turner is a big fella, just what we need, and he looked decent against drogheda. The other new signing, matthew blinkhorn, is supposed to be very good. I also feel we are more effective when boco is allowed a deeper role. Added to that cork have been poor recently, with pressure mounting on Doolin. They are without Gamble aswell.
It's tempting alright as it is Sligo's fourth game in 10 days and they have a small squad.
Peers and Morrison are doubtful for Sligo, Dennehy and the foreign centre back out for Cork. Both teams have been getting crap results lately so it's a tough one to call.
Gamble is only doubtful. Cork will still have better options in centre mid even if he is out.
I think I'll stay away from the win markets, both sides have a few negatives and not many positives so you can't side with either team. Unders may be a safe bet.
Sligo Rovers -V- Cork City
At first I was going to back City here for the away win considering Sligo only arrived back from Albania yesterday morning but I've changed my mind. Cork are too defensive and are without Joe Gamble tonight. Doolin is really under pressure these days and this could be a nervy one tonight for his squad. Also, these sides only met each other a couple of weeks ago in the cup, both ending in a draw (one of them the replay, obviously). Both sides haven't got much going for themselves at the moment and I can't back either side in this one. I predict a low scoring game for this. They've played each other 4 times already and on 3 occasions the half time result have been a draw.
Backing:
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.72 (betfair) - 1pt
Draw/Draw @ 5.6 (betfair) - .25 pts
Jesus man a difficult one to bet on - but fancy a punt so I'm going with Cork to keep a clean sheet at 7/5
and F Kuduzovic to score A/T 13/5 - hoping that former players strike against old club again bet thingy:)
