Defrocked if I know, though looking around the other "Headlines", it seems as they were having a quiet news day Surprised that they didn't go the road of "Ireland and NI to amalgamate teams" or "Ireland home internationals to be played in Parkhead". It's times like this when you want a major event to happen. Like Kilkenny City winning a game:D
Now we all know that never gonna happen !!!! :DQuote:

They're a series of poems by Pete, a $hels fan. I think he posts here but I forget what his name here is (not pete BTW).
Thanks for clearly that up.Quote:

All his poems are on that website. Excellent they are too...
BTW he doesn't post here anymore as a certain other poster told people to ignore him (and me)
In fairness Dodge, if that's the reason he stopped posting here, because one person (who got no real support for his 'stand') took a dislike then he needs to thicken the skin a bit.
Didn't stop you ;)
to get back on topic, I thought the poem was funny, and the football poets website has some great stuff on it.
The cockatoos were beaten,
Their woe was unrestrained.
The budgies’ goal was way offside,
They tearfully complained.
They sat down to their post-match meal
Of seeds and bits of carrot,
But none could eat a morsel, they
Were all sick as a parrot.
