What's the lowest division you would be willing to go to? There's loads and loads of teams in London.
Don't mind really, preferably Premiership/Championship level though.
Well from the Premier League you've got:
Arsenal
Chelsea
Fulham
Tottenham
West Ham
Championship:
Charlton
Crystal Palace
QPR
You can find attendences here. Don't know about capacities. Unfortunately can't give you any info about getting tickets.
Just to add to Dmanetc's list
Watford are also Championship, but I wouldn't ignore the lower Leagues
League one: Leyton Orient, Millwall
League two: Barnet, brentford & Luton Town
nor the numerous clubs within two hours on the Intercity routes from the London stations.
Especially if you want to add value to your trip.
You will have no problem getting access to Fulham tickets. They very rarely sell out. You can even buy a season ticket now.
Go to Fulham, decent prices, lovely little historic stadium, great area for drinks afterwards and sound fans
I was going to say Fulham too, and you can get their tix on Ticketmaster, if you have a soul to trade.
Been to QPR too - good buzz there. Aiming to go watch Palace a couple of times this season.
AFC Wimbledon may still be outside the league but there are good crowds and a great atmosphere. Their football isn't up to much really - should suit a Sligo fan:D
Why you watching that foreign mcuk
etc etc etc
Can recommend Barnet. Was a season ticket holder there for a few years. Great little ground, right beside High Barnet Tube Station. Cheap in and great fans too
If I was living in London I would go to Fulham. Decent area, good ground, great atmosphere, decenty style of football and not too hard to get tickets even for the big matches.
Craven Cottage is the hardest ground that ive been to in London to find
I work not too far from Leyton Orient's ground. White Hart Lane surprisingly is a b!tch to get to, and hard to get tickets. Ive a few Spurs supporting mates so tickets are there if i need them. Same with Palace.
Fulham would also be handy to join if you want to visit any of the other PL grounds in London. They have a very small travelling support and I reckon you would pick up a ticket for any of the London aways (except Chelsea perhaps) with a general membership.
These are the fixtures, tickets wise what one would be handiest?
Saturday:
Arsenal v Newcastle, 17:30
West Ham v Blackburn, 15:00
Sunday:
Chelsea v Tottenham, 13:30*
All the London Championship teams seem to be away that weekend.
*Obviously not.
Might just go to Brentford v Rotherham in League 2, as Brentford is closest team to where I'm staying.
