Why the big Surpise canb anyone tell me
:( I dont know why everyone is surprised by the result. Any city match i went to there is no sparkle in any of the players bar Jimmy Mull and Damien O Rourke. Ollie is crap, he has a good run every 25minutes or so and thats it. Im sorry but he has to give a lot lot more, he definetely dosnt deserve a place in the side although you could say that for alot of players.
How does Murphy hope to win matches with the likes of Flynn up front. He looks strong and hardy but he has a skill factor of around 1 out of 100, and while im not doubhting hes a good player his postion is best seved elsewhere . The defence is very very suspect although Horgan wasnt there to be fair(Rouke the only one shining) . Murphy also got rid of David Moore who was a pacey player well capable of causing the opposition problems, a young player only capable of getting better with experience( What does Murphy do , gets rid of him and plays Hartigan). And please tell me why Tynan isnt playing, is he injured or is he gone to Leicester , as last year he was capable of passing players with ease and causing problems for defences, plus a crowd pleaser the type of player that people want to see, not ****ers hoofing the ball into the air any cance they get. We just dont have any player who is capable of running at the defences and causing problems. That is why we are losing its as simple as that. We have to have at least one player who can attack defences
On another note i throughly enjoyed the Fanzine especially the graphic of Gunter and Freyne, well worth the 50P.
Great result for the club!
Yesterday's dismal defeat was a blessing in disguise. Had City scored the only goal in the game people would been fooled into believing that City were making a revival when actually they're getting even worse.
The style of football played by Gunther's team is shameless. There was no attempt to pass at all. Does Gunther ever tell Deccie, Derek, Herrick etc. that the aim of the game is not to hoof the ball into the stands?
As for Gunther's formation, I was nearly hoarse at the Metalurgs game shouting at him to put on a second striker. Recently his 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 formation was obviously not working for us. We've had no penetration down the wing so far this season but does Gunther do anything about it? - no.
In general our approach to the game is not just hopeless but counterproductive. The result being that our strikers are starved of possession and it makes for extremely frustrating viewing for the fans.
I raised these concerns before but said that Gunther needed time to change things. Since then we have got worse as yesterday was as bad a performance as I ever saw. I am an even headed supporter but I just can't bare anymore to see my beloved City play such heartbreaking, depressing, ugly and inaffective football.
Important Questions
1. Has Gunther showed that he has tried to improve our approach to the game?
2. If not, is it time for him to move on for the benefit of the club?
Please respond with your views.
-Snatch,
a concerned fan:confused:

He's in China with the Irish Universities. But he's not the answer to our problems. No amount of player changes can solve the problems that are destroying our club: the board and the 'Cronies' - they all have to go.

Well at least he might bring something to the team. While he may not be the answer to the problems its players like him we need to develop and coach, and then it may go some way to solving the problem, and i dissagree that player changes wont solve anything , of course they will , but the board and Management has to go also, Murphy and Freyne are the two last people on the planet who will bring Unity and team spirit to the club, and that is what we need right now.
