I thought he would be bringing you with him?:D
Any bars that have ESPN will probably have it on. your hotel room may even have it.
its on ESPN2
The final (and one of the quarters) are on ABC
Was hoping to get out and sample the atmosphere. Would probably like to watch a croatian match for example in a Croatian bar etc.
try posting on a croatian forum... ;)
seriously there are tons of ethnic bar guides to New York on the web. Try here
This is about all you need to know.
Remember USA94 alright ....."Lothar Matthaus, the German Quarterback.."
Nevada Smiths on 3rd Ave is a good spot: http://www.nevadasmiths.net/
Also enough of the usa commentary bashing. I've been here 16 years and while there are still a few clunkers, they've come a long way. Also Andy Gray is part of the commentary team for the Euros.
Do you have to pay in to bars in NY to watch the Euros? I was in Miami during the latter stages of the last Euros and they were charging something like 25 dollars to watch a game in a bar showing it and 150 dollars for a torunament pass. I couldn't find a single place to watch a game for free.
I doubt you'd have to pay, as it's on ESPN and ABC.
He's a Louthman. Cousin of my cousin. Said cousin and he were painters and in 1992 they were doing a job on Long Island spraying the exterior of a house. They managed to spray the flowers as well as the walls. Tommy got the sack, and a week later got picked up by ESPN, who heard his amateur commentary on Gaelic Games at Gaelic park.
