Flansiro.net's scoring chart has Sean Francis up at the top... goes to show you that Lavine and Barrett better start sticking a few away, francis and Kirby have five goals in all competitions, a pathetic gathering. hopefully we will continue to score more that we conceed as we still have a negative goal average in the League.
Town are in fourth place, and have only lost 4 games, hopefully as well as getting rid of the draw specialist tag we will register results against Cork and Shels, who have beaten us twice apiece! Still tho, I was patient with Matthews until Drogheda and I'm still behind the man who guided us to fifth last season. I also have to say that whilst you play with and against what you've got four teams are below us in the league with games in hand and although they are against each other we will have a clearer account of how the first half of the season is going in relation to an overall finish.

we need a midfield, that is plain and simple, the squad seem to be coming together nicely and the trip away did them the world of good, mcgovern has been a revilation at the back and shane is a god send, but the rest of the lads are pulling their weight, kirby solid as always, eric change in attitude, darragh getting better, barry soild and passing short, dempsey even imporved, we are worth our fourth place at the mo.
we deserve some silver ware, we deserve a night of celebration as a winning club and not a runner up or winning a playoff match, the midlands needs our sucess and i would love athlone to be up there with us.
the turning point for me was when the team got booed off the pitch against thr drogs, it was the kick in the a**s they needed, the long ball is now gone and our talented squad are now being allowed to play football and long may it continue.
we must forget staying in the premier division and focus on a european place, if that means winning the cup or a high place league position, i don't mind. Just get back into europe so we can go on tour and hopfully everyone will get to go this time,
