Because thursdays are Oriel, end of!:D
And it means the other teams are playing catch up!
Really because Fridays and Saturdays were tried in the past, and just never worked out. Seem to get a better crowd on thursdays.

Also there is the fact that the club rely on both bars income from renting them out on friday and saturday nights for private functions and parties, and having matches on thursdays frees this up
ah right cheers for the responses, be interesting to see what happens next season if use get promoted (like i reckon you will) with the oriel park situation and these thursday games
I remember hearing a story years ago, could well be rubbish, but they origionally
changed to Thursdays as during years of recession and high unemployment,
Thursday was dole day and people had a bit of money to go to a match.
