It sounds identical to a documnetary that was on channel 4 (i think) in recent months, about drug testing etc. and there were numerous cases in Italy were drug induced players would die hours/minutes after big games. If he was going to drug himself up, I think he'd pick a bigger competition than the Confederations Cup...
