Anyone know who will be your team's captain for this coming season? Gavin Peers is ours. It was Faz last season(after Hughes abondoned us) but because of the dis-respect he showed the club by handing in a transfer request Paul Cook decided Peers is a better option:).
Tony Sheilds - super player and great leader. Would still be playing in England if it weren't for Barry Fry.
Peter Hutton
Looks like Shay Kelly or Daire Doyle for us.
Most likely Purcell for us.
Conor Kenna was captain for our friendly in Wexford I believe. I don't think any likely candidate was missing so he'll probably be captain for the season.

According to today's Sentinel ( a local rag), a new Galway United captain will be appointed shortly. John Fitzgerald wore the armband for the friendly against Athlone last week and is a good bet to retain it. Wes Charles was captain last season; he is currently away on international duty.
