E48,200 GUST contribution for 2007

E48,200 was the total direct contribution from GUST to GUFC in 2007.

We set a target of E50,000 at the beginning of the year, and this was adjusted up to E52,700 to take in advertising in the ground and programme, etc.

This contribution does not include sales of season tickets, merchandise, programmes etc by GUST. It is the direct contribtution from GUST fundraisers. While it is disappointing to fall short of target, it is over E10,000 up on 2006, and by far the highest that GUST have ever contributed in a single year.

Thanks to all who helped us in 2007, especially :
- all our Lotto sellers
- all subscribers to the GUST Lotto
- al those who supported the Lotto and other fundraisers
- those who helped with the Casino Night

We will be setting our target for this season at the AGM on Tuesday 29th January, in Foxes (8.00pm). If you can help out with fundraising in 2008, please come along.

well done, thats a huge contribution in anyones book

amazing work as said before and hardly gets the credit it deserves

and pats on the back are useless, help selling a book every week, or buying is what adds up at year end. The club have acknowledged the contribution and when you see athlone struggling for a licence because they owe 65k and kilkenny going down the swanny over 50k and voluntary help it puts pd and the crews work in perspective. Another point is PD and them are doing this in tough times like when stuck in the 1st division and watchin the rubbish last season. This season is different and i believe we could see a top 4 finish and because the support is organised and have proved they have staying power the contributions will grow. The agm of the trust is next week, be there get your friends there and offer help that makes the real difference

GUST urgently needs volunteers to help out with our weekly Lotto draw.

GUST have placed notices in the local media this week looking for help.
We need forum members to donate 30 minutes of your time per week
to sell a book of tickets to your family, friends, work colleagues and
fellow United supporters.

There will be a generous incentive package announced at Tuesdays AGM for anyone who is interested in becoming part of our Lotto team.
