even the other cause for the was, that iraq posed an immediate threat to the united states was made a joke of with the quick overrun of the war.

the links to al queda haven't been proven either, in fact osama bin laden is on record as an opponent of the saddam regime, believing it to be too westernised, mainly for his dealings with the states (through donald rumssfeld) in the seventies and eighties.
