Is anyone taking this competition seriously or is it just another cup to clutter up the fixture lists?
Will any of the Junior Clubs involved spring a suprise and challenge the sides Galway Utd & Sligo Rovers put out, which will undoubtedly be Under 21 sides ?

The GUFC website tells me that Galway United beat Abbey United 4-2 in Terryland Park last week to advance to the final of the Connacht Senior Cup. What's the Connacht Senior Cup and who else is playing in it? :confused:
It was revived this year and featured the top 2 Junior teams from each District League in the province last season, plus Galway United and Sligo Rovers.
Hasn't really set the world alight as a few teams gave walkovers and Galway Utd used their U-21 side. Mervue Utd play Ballinasloe Town in the other semi this Sunday in Mervue at 2pm.
