Should we start Foley up front... He's now scored in three games on the bounce, including a screamer from 25 yards and a last minute equalizer???? Or is no one else as bored as me????

twas beggers belief that he would be on his way once his contract is up but if he keeps scoring he should be kept, we need a target man type figure anyway...
paddy is a good target man, he has the size for it
true but Foley is a decent player...
yeah i agree, but where is foleys main position, we don't want to end up like spurs and ireland putting Dotherty up ront just because he is a target man
Paddy as tall as he is can never win anything in the air
As a UCD fan, i urge you to enjoy the luxury of being able to converse about your most productive prospective striking options. We talk about whether we should give Pat Jennings a shot up front seeing as he couldn't catch a cold, and Put Alan Gallen in Goal seeing as he seems to be great at putting the ball past the post.
my starting team would be
Digger
Alan Murphy Dillon Mc Govern Avery
Barry Ferguson Brian Byrne
Kirby Gary Murphy
Lavine Barrett
What do ye think?
would definetly play barrett. as for mcgovern i thought he's been very shaky in the games he's played for us
I think Brian McGovern is a fantastic signing. He is the only defender I know who can lead from the back and can hear him shouting and him & Fergie are beginning to get a great understanding between them.
As for Foley, I think he is very effective as a sub. The next Solksjaer!
My team would be: Digger,John,Dillon,Fergie,McGovern,B Byrne, keogh,Perth,Sheridan,Lavine,Barrett
I agree with martinho i think mc govern is a great player to lift the team. i thouht he was a good example to the rest of the players in the second half of the pats match. And for the first time in along time we seen him running out with the ball from centre back tne last player i seen doing that for longford town was maccer. I would also give gary murphy a chance And paddy cant win headers so i'd either have barrett or foley up front with lavine. i wouldn rate francis as a striker.
No Kirby!?!Quote:

Mine would be
Digger
Dillon Barry McGovern John
Kirby B Byrne Foley Kirby
Lavine Barrett
We need to try something else in midfield, and Foley has played there in the past....

Due to a typing error I meant to put Kirby instead of Sheridan. I agree with the majority of the selection but I feel that Foley would be effective as a sub.
all that i want to say about team selection can be said in small statement......................SHERIDAN IS ****
thats it and debate it as you wish
Typing error my left @rse cheek...Quote:
