Best Non-league Irish Ground ?

See if this takes off ?
Having viewed the interesting thread on League stadiums, wondered which Intermediate/Junior club had the best ground/stadium ?
From my travels around the country viewed a few (only a few) wonder if this may spark an interesting topic.
Ones viewed :-
Donegal
Gweedore Celtic- Nice compact ground in sand dunes
Fanad Utd- Well enclosed within wooden fence.
Bonagee Utd- Cute wee stand
Letterkenny Rovers - As main club in town in club and all new development near by thought could have been better.
Sligo
McSharry Park- Good regional HQ
Ground around corner- no facillities
Mayo
Castlebar Celtic- Smart compact ground behind fire station. Any plans for stand.
Westport Utd FC- Dig the steep concrete terracing
Limerick Co.
Rathkeale- That stand always grabs my attention when passing. The bane of this thread - "Bloody hell if a small club (no offence) like this has a stand what are other non-league grounds like?
Newcastlewest- Take it is enclosed ground past woods in park. Take it league did not have ground criteria when they were members.
Waterford
Ozier Park- Quaint- who plays there ?
Bohs- Dinky wee stand
Munster
Fermoy- small stand
Middleton- smart layout
St Michaels- pre floodlight view -smart
Clonmel Town- - if ground with running track - ok

So have we commenced a can of worms ?

Arklow Town have a magnificient set-up, Flootlit pitch, stand and all
Tolka Rovers, superb pitch, small stand
Malahide, superb pitch
Mullingar Town, good pitch, small stand, **** dressing rooms
Mullingar Athletic, good pitch, decent set up
Edenderry Town, good pitch, good training facilities
Rathoath, Floodlit pitch, tidy little ground
Mount Merrion, doubles as cricket ground, with viewing gallery overlooking a great pitch
Parkvilla, Navan, Floodlit pitch surrounded by running track, top class facilities, pitch needs a little work
Glebe North, Balbriggan, good pitch, tidy set-up
Rathcoole, nice floodlit pitch
Beggsboro, nice floodlit pitch
St James Gate



Thats a few of the LSL

Is there a junior/intermediate team in Ireland with better facilities than Salthill Devon?

Arklow Town and Malahide have similar set ups, with multiple pitches, training facilities.

are all four of the pitches used by Salthill only? some set up!!

Tullamore just opened similar multiple pitches/ clubhouse/balcony
Peamount Utd just opened similar multiple pitches/ clubhouse/balcony

Both prob not the finished article but could be argued that they are better as both have full size FIFA approved all weather pitches capable of playing league games and I believe both will soon have floodlit grass pitches if not already

St Francis - Floodlights on one of the best surfaces in the country

The thread has been positive until your "input",I'm sure the people at Rineanna do the best they can with what resourses they have and can safely do without your description.The posters in this thread are trying to point out what's good about the Junior Clubs not ripping the p1ss out of it and I suggest if you don't have anything to add to it to refrain from posting.

St Michaels FC (I know it's mentioned above) of Tipp town if I remember right is an allright ground.

Salthill Devon looks incredible. Fair play whoever got that up and running.

This looks like an incredible set-up, big change from the old one. Congrats to everyone involved in salthill devon. It must have taken a lot of hard work. Just goes to show what a well-run club can achieve:ball:

Askeaton fc from Limerick have got a brand new groung which is incredible

there are some very good setups in Limerick city as well.

Pike rovers - eircom league pitch, big clubhouse, new dressing rooms to come
Janeboro - good pitch, nice clubhouse, fully kitted out gym
Fairview - Good pitch, nice clubhouse

I dont mean to be negative but to put things in perspective I would call Salthill Devon "incredible" and Askeatons new ground on the same scale would be "Good". It would put on a par with Pike / Fairview and also Kilmallock, although Pike's bar puts it ahead of the others :D

Askeaton's new pitch is not brilliant as in the grass is very long, dont know what the surface is like underneath but our U21's picked up some injuries when they last played there which could be attributed to the surface.

Askeaton's old ground was pretty good too.

Remember, Salthill sold Miller's Lane for €3,000,000 to buy and develop this project. The architect involved was a Westport man.

Wow €3,000,000 that's a nice bonus... But fair play to them.

I know my club has just bought land and is developing it at the moment and it is costing a small fortune. The amount of fund raising we are having to do is unreal. Not easy to service a mortgage over €500,000 for a small county club...

Any news on how pike's new dressing rooms are proceeding...? I thought that they were to be started by now... will be the final piece in a fine setup..
