Hats off to Shamrock Rovers who are promoting their televised game with Drogs with a poster in German as it will be the same weekend as Rep of Ireland V. Germany at Croker.

Yeah I remember some German neo-Nazis over for a game against Pat's in Richmond before.
Rovers presumably already have some sort of link with Greuther Furth anyway as they play in Green & White hoops.

Brilliant initiative by Rovers. We had something similar when people with tickets to the Welsh game got a concession to our game vs Cork, but I don't know if it had much of an effect on the crowd. This seems like it could get a good few Germans though.

Well the attendance was 4041 of which an estimated 1000 were German. As well as the poster circulating around the internet we had people handing them out in Dublin Airport to all the Gemans coming in and we had people handing them out in Temple Bar too.Quote:

Thats a class idea in fairness. Christ this League is really run by muppets, imagine what we could achieve if it was actually run by people who gave a **** using iniative, brains, marketing and a bit of money!!
I have also downloaded clips that Rovers make available on some website of the highlights of their games, the quality is A1. A lot better quality than TV3 clips which says it all really.
