The Star gave us a glowing report this morning, saying we'll be in the running for Europe. They voted Alan Matthews their Manager of the Week, Kirby and Brian Byrne and I think Eric got into their Team of the Week. Were we that good? And can we make Europe this season?

its going to be exciting finding out, 5th place last season was impressive but we were in trouble for a while, equal to that or better and id be happy, but dreaming of a European spot, we all are..... Bring on the $heŁ$!

Truth is we werent super derry were very very poor
Derry gacve a lesson in comedy defending. Still, you have to capitalise on that and Longford did. I can't see you lads struggling this season.
Even Noel King praised us last night! :eek: his “little dark horses” he called us... hope all this doesnt go to our heads.
King should know what he is talking about. Werent they together at Shels for a short time? Our only problem is with not being full timers, this might count against us in the last batch of games fitness wise but I cant see us struggling.:)

well said, the man hasn't got a clue, just look at what we wears on tv. i think him getting behind us is the kiss of death, the only reason he mentioned us is its the first time he's seen us due to the no football outside dublin crap being run by tv3, its too expensive to send a camera man to longford blah blah blah !!!!! ingore king, for the sake of all who actually know something about football, we only won ine match, lets see what all the pundits ave to say wenesday week after we've played bohs and shels, sorry to say it but one match isn't a seasonQuote:

king wasnt even at match he saw 30 seconds of goals and says we're dark horses. Bulls**t he hasnt a clue. It was a great result but look what happened last year when we got carried away!
