A true legend RIP
:eek:Bloody Hell. Didn't know he was ill.
Aye - according to a friend of mine who knew Tony very well - he was extremely ill over the past few months
Anyway - just got back from town celebrating a friend's birthday.
This news has knocked me right back
RIP Mr Wilson - you will be sorely missed
I feel an airing of Love Will Tear Us Apart is in order here
very sad news. A job well done Tony.
Sorry to see him go
RIP
Slightly differing articles on the man in The Sunday Times and in The Telegraph
Walked past the hacienda just before I found out he died
Upset me more than I thought it would. A great loss. RIP Tony.
Love the stories about him in the factory days; the contracts on the back of his hands, the floppy disk packaging that lost money on each copy sold of a no-mark dance number that went on to become the biggest selling 12" ever, the £30,000 conference table!
A true legend.
The world needs more Tony Wilsons , R.I.P
RIP.
A couple of years ago, on the clubs anniversary, hundreds, if not thousands of people broke into it and had one last rave in there, class.
Very interesting article in the Sindo last weekend about the life long friendship between Wilson and Sean Boylan the ex Meath manager.
