Bohemians 3-1 Sligo Rovers
The eircom league champions continued the pre-season preparations with a comfortable win over Sligo Rovers.
Bohs had to come from behind after Don O’Riordan’s Sligo side took an early lead in the AUL. The lead came somewhat against the run of play as Bohemians made all the early running.
Robbie Doyle scored his third goal in four games to equalise for the Gypsies, with a close-range effort. The champions had to wait until the start of the second half to take the lead when Kevin Hunt scored a fine effort with a powerful 25-yard daisy cutter after he had won possession.
Paul Keegan ensured the win with a spectacular effort shortly after Hunts’ lead goal.
