class, I'm defintely going to one of these gigs. Glad McCabe is involved. Without him Ashcroft isn't the same.
Ya, he was meant to have been the driving force alright.
Though Ashcrofts debut was good and had a band sound to it, it missed McCabes riffs.
Though there may be a few, I can't think of someone quitting any half-decent band and me being more impressed by the solo effort.
Get over your ego and get back to your friends, I say.
I tell you one thing Ashcroft's solo tour were the loudest gigs I've ever been too. For albums that were pretty mellow his band just used to turn up the amps and go hell for leather with it!! The Verve live (too young around northern soul era) is gonna be magic.
Just need the Smiths and the Roses to reform and you nearly have the full set of legends getting back together!
Rolling Stones' legal team must be loving this.
Spice Girls got back together , All we need now is Aqua and it'll be like 1997 all over again:)
