Well it used to be harder as you had to win the group and we've finished 2nd in every group since 88 so its not that weird

I was in Amsterdam for Euro2000 and there were hundreds of Irish there. We weren't even playing in the tournament.
Same time zone, same currency and if the hospitality we were shown in Lisbon for the WCQ against Portugal is anything to go by the Irish fans would be in for a real treat.
