Armagideon Time-The Clash.
I never buy singles but far and away Acquiesce, Oasis....
Penny Lane?
Maggie Mae.
Some would argue Fools Gold.
Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody.
Were they all not Double A sides?
Fools Gold was a double A side, but you could take your pick of a lot of their singles. Mersey Paradise being one of the best.
Also Belle & Sebastian's Meat and Potatoes. (Another band with a lot of good b-sides/e.p.s)
Ian Dury - There ain't half been some clever b*stards
Gloria Gaynor - I will survive
Let me roll it, B-side of Jet by Wings
Well i heard Gamble and Roy acquited themselves well.
Nirvana - Aneurysm
Please, Please Let me get what I want... It was actually a B-Side! Hatful of Hollow has turned from an assortment of sessions b sides and rarities into a classic album over the course of time...
Ditto for How soon is now.
How Soon is Now is an album track though .
Listen Up, Talk Tonight, Rocking Chair, Sad Song - Oasis
I stand corrected.
John Lennon - Working Class Hero (B-Side to Imagine)
Stone Roses - Standing Here, Mersey Paradise, Going Down, Somethings Burning, Where Angels Play (amazingly unreleased until Silvertone put it out as a B-Side to the unauthorised release of Waterfall as a cash-in single in 1991).
Oasis (Not mentioned yet) - The Masterplan, Stay Young, Do you Wanna be a Spaceman, Talk Tonight, Its Better People................Noel was too prolific for his own good in the early days.
Tended never to buy singles. Oasis had some class ones. So good that The Masterplan album was far better than most of their later ones... Acquiesece a standout... Think Feeder's Just A Day started out as a b-side...
