Clare Player Recieves 8 Month Ban for Verbal Abuse of Ref !

Hi all,

your thoughts, comments please.

A junior player recently received an 8 month ban from football because he called a ref a f**kin cheater.
this was after the ref played 8 minutes injury time in a game.
the player in questions' team were winning 2-1.
the opposing team scored in the 8th minute of injury time to draw level. after they scored the ref blew the final whistle.

absolute disgrace!

This subject has and is being discussed at length in the main Clare League thread.We're not going to have a thread dedicated to ref bashing which this will turn into..This is a public forum and nobody deserves to see their integrity dragged through the mire

If you have a constructive thing to say about the situation post it in the Clare thread.

I've seen loads of Senior games called off over the years through having no ref...
