Anyway, heres the run in to the season from the eL Office
Division One
Waterford United
A win against Finn Harps would secure automatic promotion. A
draw would mean that they would need 1 more point to secure
automatic promotion. A defeat would mean that they may need
to win the last two matches to get automatic promotion.
Definitely in the Play offs and at worst can finish second, meaning
that they play away in the first leg of the play offs.
Finn Harps A, Dundalk A, Limerick H
Finn Harps
Only team that can catch Waterford. With a game in hand and
the Leaders to play, should Harps win the next two matches then
they will be 2 points behind Waterford. Their game in hand
against Kildare could seal both team’s fate. Two wins likely to
seal a play off spot.
Waterford H, Kildare A, Galway A, Sligo H
Galway United
Cannot get automatic promotion. A difficult run in having to play
the teams in all the places directly below them. Two wins may be
enough to clinch play off space.
Kildare H, Finn Harps H, Cobh A,
Cobh Ramblers
Cannot get automatic promotion. The final game could be the
decider, however they may need to win at least one more game
to hold on to the last play off spot.
Limerick A, Sligo A, Galway H
Kildare County
Cannot get automatic promotion. With 2 fellow play off
contenders to play, their destiny is in their own hands. The game
in hand at home to Finn Harps could be crucial. Would need to
win 3 out of 4 to get into the play offs.
Galway A, Finn Harps H, Dublin City H, Monaghan A
Dublin City
Cannot get automatic promotion. Would need to win all 3
matches, Cobh and Kildare to win only 1 of their final 3 matches
(4 in Kildare’s Case)
Sligo H, Kildare A, Athlone H
Monaghan United
Cannot get automatic promotion. Need to win all 3 matches. Must
hope for help from others to make top 4. Need one win to avoid
re-election.
Dundalk H, Athlone A, Kildare H
Limerick
Cannot get automatic promotion. Mathematically possible for the
play offs. However, anything other than a victory against Cobh on
Sunday would see them out of the picture. Must win a game to
avoid re-election.
Cobh H, Kilkenny H, Waterford A
Scumgo Rangers
Cannot get automatic promotion. Must win all matches. Could be
a surprise late charge to the play offs. Must win two games to
avoid re-election.
Dublin City A,Kilkenny H,Cobh H,Finn Harps A
Dundalk
Cannot get automatic promotion. Must win all 3 matches and pray
for a miracle. Must win 2 matches to avoid re-election.
Monaghan A,Waterford H,Kilkenny A
Athlone Town
Cannot make the play offs. Need to win 2 of the last 3 matches
and hope that Dundalk lose all their matches in order to avoid
re-election.
Kilkenny A,Monaghan H,Dublin City A
Kilkenny City
Cannot get into the play offs. Must win all 4 matches or win 3 and
draw 1, and hope that Dundalk and Athlone lose all their matches
to avoid re-election.
