I knwo you said Dublin, but if you're ever down for a town game - http://www.kellymenswear.ie/
whistle and flute. im assuming the dubs have invented their own "dubney" rhyming slang or something by the term "tin of fruit"........how sad!
Debinhams , i got a YSL 2 piece for 250
I'd usually go to Diffney's Menswear for mine
Burton are great for low cost suits that you don't need to worry about wearing.
You can find them in Jervis St., Blanchardstown & probably Liffey Valley too.
Got mine in Next, good selection and various prices. I like mine a lot!
ya next is a grand job if you are wearing it day to day. good price.
what about michael guineys?
or mcelhinneys ?
If youe ever in or around the bangkok area, look out for 'james' fashion'..Got a fitted Ck suit for just under 125euro. ;)
I'm with Paul on the 'whistle and flute'.
If you want to go retro (and not new) try www.rustyzipper.com
I got a 60's mod suit for about $50.
High street stores are always the best as they allow you to mix and match jacket and trouser sizes. Not everyone is in the exact propoortion that suits come in. In my case my guns are just too big.
If you can afford a tailored suit though go and get one.
Me too Cockney slang for a suit is Whistle & Flute, there was no such thing as a tin of fruit in original Rhyming slang.
As mentioned by someone else, Thailand is the place to go, 100% wool, suit with 2 pairs of trousers for <£100, 4 years ago & still going strong.
My one tip when suit buying is to get 2 pairs of trousers for 1 jacket, you wear the trousers out much much quicker, or maybe that's just me
thats what i meant by the dubs, they made up joe maxi and mae west as well. there is another few they use now too that i recently heard!!! why?Quote:

Why not. Why cant the dubs i invent their own slang. Its hardly something that should only be reserved for London.
no its just so unoriginal and stupid though.
either one of them.
If I can interrupt paul_oshea sideshow, I'd like to point out that Topman also sell reasonable suits.
M & S, your only man for a decent yet very reasonable suit. If it's good enough for me and Bryan Ferry....
