UCD moving grounds

I've heard you are moving to Bellfield Bowl. What is the latest news on this? Is it far from the exisiting ground? Has it been used for soccer before or just other sports?

Work will start on it as soon as the rugby season is over. It's on the opposite side of the campus, more than a mile away. It is used by UCD rugby team and has been used before for some sort of underage soccer internationals.

UCD used to play the odd pre season friendly in the Bowl in the Late 1980's and in 1991 when St. Pat's were playing League games in Harolds Cross Greyhound Stadium, they hosted Ballymena United in the Bowl. UCD played Linfield in Belfield Park the same day.
