Lads, who is Cobh Ramblers Club Promotion Officer? Is it Paul Reidy?
Who is he? Is he a Ramblers fan, is he from Cobh? I never heard the name before, just wondering was he always with the club?
Edit : Is it Paul Reidy the photographer?

no its not me there is a paul reidy who lives in cobh he used to go to games a few years ago he's wild, it funny because if he was promotions officer he would just roar at pepole to get into the ground and they probably would do it:D
dunno if it full time id say it tis for the first year anyway, hell have to be full time to sort it out properly, id think anyway we could have a bigger fan base than we have and hell try and tap into it. :ball:
This is a new rule from the brains of the donkeys at the F.A.I all clubs must now have a designated Club Promotion Officer.
Isn't it just a fancy name for the P.R.O
I can't understand that attitude:rolleyes: if it is something which will help get people thru the gate then what's the problem? Afaik the promotions officers apply to those teams that got premier div.licenses, so why not give it a chance before knocking it.
yes the FAI introduced the idea, a club does not need to have one its there perogative, but the FAI will subsidise his wages, his job will not be public relations, solely promotion of the club like advertiseing and makeing sure all games are adequatly announced around the town and area, so newspaper articles and radio time for getting the club known to people wo wouldnt generally wanna come, basically a bit of media saturation for the club, from what ive heard the clubs with prem licences only the ones in the prem division got a subsidy for the officer, but barry walsh got onto the FAI and asked if they could extend it to all prem licences as a reward for obtaing one and they agreed it would be fair, and entice other clubs to keep there clubs run well and facilities up to scratch.
