Limerick FC have lost their appeal to the High Court against the FAI, and the temporary injunction, which was put in place earlier this month, has been lifted.

The injunction was taken by club chairman Danny Drew after it emerged that the FAI had received an application from a consortium called Limerick 37.

Drew has the right to appeal but today's ruling allows the FAI to process applications from the aforementioned Limerick 37 and another from Wexford.

With the current crisis in Shelbourne ongoing, the new season may see Dundalk in the Premier Division with the First Division receiving one or both of the new applicants.

Costs of the hearing were also awarded against the backers of Limerick FC.

Not sure where they're getting the Dundalk bit from - obviously haven't done their research on that one at all.

Nah, they're just winding up the Dundalk folk to give them some hope of getting into the top flight and then the FAI will come along and say, Waterford up ye go! :D

Yep and then we'll go up the following season, 50k better off and Waterford will be relegated again, your right Drogboy everybody will be happy :D
