Galway United are delighted to announce the signing of Dimitri Brinias. Dimitri is a 6ft goalkeeper of Greek/Australian descent, who started his youth football career with AFC Bournemouth in England and subsequently was attached to Panathinaikos FC.
Over the last three seasons, Dimitri was based in Italy with Frascati Lupa where he was voted best goalkeeper in Serie D by Corriere Dello Sport in the 2003/4 season and subsequently played for Chievo Verona, Enosi and Frenaros.
Dimitri was on trial with Galway United at the end of last season and impressed Tony Cousins with his undoubted ability and desire to succeed in the game. Still only 22, Tony Cousins believes Dimitri will be an excellent addition to his 2007 squad.

With a name like that, he has to be good!
Tomorrow's Sunday Indo has a feature with both Tony and Nick - should be worth a read.
