Help (London/Watford Formites)?

Flying into Standstead in the morning for the Watford/Liverpool match and no trains running from Stanstead due to works going on on the line. Just wondering would anyone know can i catch a bus to Watford or nearby direct from Stanstead or would i need to go to Liverpool Street and then catch a train? Game over at half two and need to be back in Stanstead by seven so not really worried about getting back just the quickest way to Watford. Help much appreciated.

There should be an airport bus from Stanstead to Luton Airport (there may even be one to Watford Town Center from Stanstead) - if you end up at Luton then from there you could get a bus to Watford...
