Yep thought it was unusual for a Limerick man.
I thought so too - but apparently the producer of the show is from Derry.
Limerick and Derry City are clubs with great mutual respect and since they couldn't get a Limerick mug (or is that what Karl was?) he obviously chose Derry. :)
Id say it was carls way of promoting the EL in the only way he could outside of wearing a limerick jersey. Often (so im told)goes on stage with a limerick scarf
Reading the title of this thread I was expecting to read about Karl Spain meeting Stephen Kenny......;)
